POSTED BY PEGGY: I’ve seen a lot off great plants that come into the nursery here at Sugar Creek. But none pull my heart strings quite like the lovely ‘Peppermint Twist’ tall smmer Phlox. I planted one last year. She bloomed her little heart out for months. Her blooms were modest for her first appearance, but so perfect and bright.
I promised myself I would add two more in the Spring.
So far I’ve purchased four. My mind keeps wondering back to my garden, thinking of places to plant more. I could plant three there and two there and one there, oh my.
Please, someone save me from myself. I can’t stop thinking of Phlox Peppermint Twist. Would someone please come in and buy the rest so I could get on with my life?

Peggy — This is the only plant that my husband has ever commented on in my garden.
And that’s saying a lot! It really is beautiful, and a fantastic bloomer. I’m buying more this season, but I’ll leave a few for you…

So THAT’S why you were so excited when I bought one! I guess if you run out of space for your favorite plant in your own garden, you can always convince other people to plant it.
(This might be why I’m pushing Juliet tomatoes on all my neighbors this year . . .)
